Powered by Nutanix

Run infrastructure, protection and Kubernetes as a service.

CDS operates the platform, governance, support and lifecycle through one accountable service relationship, so you consume enterprise cloud services, and we run them. Powered by the Nutanix Cloud Platform.

A conceptual operating model. Commercial and service-level terms are defined per engagement.

Platform capability, wrapped in CDS operations.

CDS combines platform administration, service management and customer reporting.

Customer outcomes

Provisioning, monitoring, support and reporting under agreed service responsibilities.

CDS managed operations

Provision, monitor, administer, support and report against agreed responsibilities.

Service governance

SLA, security, capacity, incident management and quarterly business reviews.

Nutanix Cloud Platform

Compute, storage, virtualisation, protection and Kubernetes as the platform foundation.

One operating model across all four services.

A common set of inclusions applies to Managed IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS and Managed Kubernetes, with service-specific scope confirmed during design.

01Provisioning and onboarding
Standard builds, access, tenancy and platform configuration to a documented baseline.
02Monitoring and incident management
Health, availability and event monitoring with logging, triage, escalation and resolution tracking.
03Capacity and performance
Utilisation, thresholds and demand planning so capacity stays ahead of the workload.
04Protection and recovery
Backup and replication operations with restore and failover testing to prove recoverability.
05Patching and lifecycle
Platform patching, upgrades, changes and vendor escalation coordinated by CDS.
06Reporting and governance
Service reporting, capacity trends, risks, actions and quarterly business reviews.

Three coverage tiers.

Coverage deepens from running the platform, to protecting and assuring it, to optimising it. Each tier carries everything in the one before it. Commercial and service-level terms are defined per engagement. These tiers describe scope, not price.

What each tier carries. A dot marks an included capability; every tier also carries the bands above it.

Moving workloads onto a managed cloud.

Whether standing up new services or migrating an existing estate, CDS uses a structured model to reduce risk and reach steady-state operations.

Scope, responsibilities and service levels, made explicit.

Every service leads with business outcomes and makes scope, responsibilities and service levels clear before the commercials. Numeric commitments are defined per engagement, not published as generic promises.

Reviewed on evidence, not assurances.

CDS provides operational visibility so the service can be governed on facts, performance, protection and cost.

Questions about this service.

Which platform do these services run on?

The Nutanix Cloud Platform: compute, storage and virtualisation (AHV), built-in data protection, and the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) for cloud-native workloads.

Can the service run on-premises, in a data centre, or both?

Yes. Managed cloud can be delivered on-premises, in a data centre, or as a hybrid across sites. The target model is confirmed during design.

Are RPO, RTO and SLAs fixed?

No. Recovery objectives, retention, test frequency and service levels are defined per engagement against the workloads in scope. CDS does not publish generic numeric promises.

Can one service be taken without the others?

Yes. Managed IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS and Managed Kubernetes can be taken individually or combined into one managed cloud relationship.

How is the managed cloud service priced?

On a subscription or consumption model with a minimum term. The applicable structure is confirmed after scoping; no standard price list applies.

Service scope on this page reflects the CDS managed cloud service model; commercial and service-level terms are defined per engagement.
