CDS believes that as a business we have an obligation to society that goes beyond our commitments to our stakeholders. It is with this belief, CDS business practice involves participating in initiatives that benefit society at large. CDS has embed sustainability into the core of their business operations to create shared value for business and society and is committed towards contributing to the well-being of communities and society through various environmental and social measures.

CDS categorises its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR ) activities:

Ethical / Human Rights Social Responsibility:

CDS is committed to operate their business in an ethical manner that upholds human rights principles, such as fair treatment of all stakeholders, fair trade practices and equal pay. We do not support human rights injustices such as child labour, racial or gender discrimination and inequality.

Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram – an Indian social welfare organization based in Jashpur, in the Chhattisgarh state of India. It focuses on the welfare activities of members of Scheduled Tribes in remote areas of India.

Philanthropic Corporate Responsibility:

This refers to CDS’s aims, goals and objectives for actively bettering society as a whole, this includes donating money to deserving and worthy causes within the local community — often in the form of a trust or foundation. 

Aruna Chetana – is a voluntary charitable organization of Hindu Seva Prathisthana. The school aims to provide comprehensive service facility to children with multiple disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, Hearing Impairment, Partially Visually Impaired, Spina Bi Fida, Autism, Dyslexia, and Behaviour and Emotional disorders. Contribution towards school children’s daily needs, setup of computer lab etc. 

Kote Foundation / Right to Liv is an NGO serving the underprivileged for over a decade with the higher purpose of “Transforming Lives Through Quality Education and Health.”

The Akshaya Patra Foundation – is a non-profit trust of International Society for Krishna Consciousness, located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The organisation operates the Midday Meal Scheme for children in India. Contribution towards Mid-Day Meal for one year for 150 children.

Economic Corporate Responsibility:

CDS as a practice is involved in making financial decisions based on a commitment to doing good. Some of our economic commitments and responsibilities include putting more money into education programs and funding local charities as a way of bolstering their mission. 

Sukurtha Trust– a public charity trust which currently supports number of students at various stages of their education, anywhere between primary school to post graduation courses. The trust also works closely with a few NGOs and helps the under privileged students, women and men through these NGOs in taking care of their educational, medical and essential needs. Sukrutha is also actively working with charitable hospitals to try and reach out the needy patients, in some or the other form.

Swanandaashrama Balaganapathi Pratishthana – has been encouraging the education of children who are studying in government schools and from rural homes through Vidya Chetana Project. This project helps economically backward students by providing them with annual school kits and uniforms to children studying up to Class 10. Contributed towards annual school kit and school uniform.

Environmental Corporate Responsibility:

CDS is committed to sustainability and environmentally friendly operations, thus reducing the company’s carbon footprint or greenhouse gas emissions and opting for sustainable resources and keeping environmental aspects at the heart of all operations. 

CDS has aligned with the SBTi’s Corporate Net-Zero Standard which is the world’s only framework for corporate net-zero target setting in line with climate science. CDS as an SME, has set itself an ambitious climate action with science-based emissions reduction targets.
